National Science Day in India is celebrated on February 28th every year to mark the discovery of ‘Raman effect’ by Sir C.V.Raman. The theme of National science Day for the year 2024 was ‘Indigenous technologies for Vikisit Bharat’ The series of events were conducted across the country following the theme. UR satellite centre, a centre of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) organized various science competitions for school students. A student of Vagdevi Vilas school, Bidadi Harshini D ( grade 10) secured 1st place in Essay writing competition (English).
